A month or two ago I signed up for the Safeway Just for U program. They sent me a postcard flyer with tons of coupons for FREE items. Here’s what I got yesterday for free from Safeway just for signing up:
- Mission Tortillas (10ct)
- Salsa (24oz)
- Salad Dressing
- Safeway Rice (1 pound)
- 1lb Bag of Frozen Vegetables
And there was a coupon for Free Safeway marinade, but they were out of stock.
Additionally, there was a coupon for $4 off boneless skinless chicken breasts in the 4lb bag – final price was $1.45 per pound which is fabulous!
Basically, I earned over $20 just by entering my club card number and information on the Safeway Just for U site.
I’ve been a member of King Soopers’ similar program (King Soopers ecoupons) for longer – about a year and they send me periodic coupons for free items as well. Plus coupon books for items that I use – like yogurt, condiments, paper towels, etc.
With both of these you are also able to add digital coupons to your loyalty card by just clicking on them, then when you go through the line, the coupon is automatically deducted. No coupon clipping if you don’t want to! Only negative is that these digital coupons don’t double like the physical ones do – but it’s still a great way to save without much hassle.
If you go to subscribe, make sure you subscribe as a member. For whatever reason I signed up to Safeway’s before, but didn’t sign up to be a member – it must just have been for the digital coupons – and didn’t receive the extra coupons. Now I have it all taken care of though.
Do you have a preference for King Soopers or Safeway over the other? If so, why?
By the way, this is not an ad – I am not being compensated in any way for this post.
